Oysters were of course delicious but the main courses didn't quite hit the mark. King prawn linguine felt a bit stingy with 4 small prawns and tuna salad had small unevenly cooked chunks rather than a full steak. All in all a little underwhelming but probably the only restaurant of this type of dining in the area.

Great food in a great environment. I recommend eating fresh seafood on the deck overlooking the bay while the sun goes down. (With a glass or few of good wine.)

I don't think people understand this is a fine dining restaurant and the meals reflect that both size and price wise. I tried some oysters (amazing and I'm not even big on oysters!) And the snapper as my main as well as a mousse for dessert. Loved them all, you can see the effort that goes into each dish. Service was also excellent, very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Abalone lives up to its billing. Between us, I find caviar and crab very overrated, the few times it tried them. But certainly 1802's abalone was sumptuous with its unequaled taste.

Great place to try the local oysters and seafood especially as the sun is setting. It doesn't mention it online but the kitchen is open for lunch and dinner and doesn't serve the full menu all day. We arrived at 3pm and they could do us oysters and chips if we wanted but we headed into the Coffin Bay national park for a few hours and came back for dinner after 6pm. Great place.
